About the Journal

The Indonesian Journal of Gender Justice and Family Law (InGeFaL) is a peer-reviewed, double-blind, open-access scholarly journal published by Mahkota Science Publishers. Established in 2026, the journal publishes quarterly, with issues released in February, May, August, and November. InGeFaL is dedicated to advancing rigorous and impactful scholarship on gender justice in family law by positioning Indonesia within a broader comparative and transnational legal landscape. The journal provides a leading platform for interdisciplinary inquiry into the dynamic intersections between domestic legal systems, legal pluralism (state, customary, and religious laws), and global governance frameworks shaped by institutions such as the United Nations and international instruments, including the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women. InGeFaL publishes theoretically robust and empirically grounded research addressing critical issues such as cross-jurisdictional marriage and divorce, migration and transnational family formations, gender-based violence, the protection of women and children, intra-household economic justice, and the implications of digital transformation for family law. Emphasising methodological diversity and global relevance, InGeFaL aims to bridge Indonesian perspectives with international debates, contributing to the development of more equitable, responsive, and forward-looking legal frameworks in the pursuit of gender justice worldwide.
